Hi Everyone, I just finished writing a book which is an anthology of political speeches from the 21st century. The theme is to show how bipartisan solutions resulted in effective public policy legislation. The manuscript is roughly 70,000 words, of which 15,000 is originally written analysis, with the remaining 55,000 words speech transcripts. I was wondering if anyone has availability to copy edit my book. I would like a copy editor to review the entire manuscript prior to publication, reading and editing it cover to cover. I've had a few people read it from an editorial perspective and it is in a really good place already, but I'd like another set of eyes to help clean it up prior to press. Most of the editing will be on the 15,000 words I wrote. The speeches have to be reviewed for grammatical consistency as they're transcripts but we won't clean up the words, just make sure each speech was transcribed in a consistent format for the reader (emdashes, Oxford commas, anything random you catch). I'd like to use the AP Style Guide though I am open if you have other suggestions. It's a somewhat tight deadline as I would need this project completed by end of day Friday, May 17th. The manuscript is in a relatively final draft and I don't think it will require too much work. Please let me know if this sounds of interest.
