This was not a good project. Whilst the work, when it was eventually delivered, was acceptable it took far too long. I say aceptable because there are quirky things in the code that shouldn't be there but I couldn't wait any longer as I had to launch the website. The specification was very simple to understand - it needed to be done in a week otherwise don't apply. One MONTH later we were still messing around. We started down a slippery path and I couldn't get off. I couldn't contact him, then someone else took over, and then someone else. Half the time I didn't know who was I was dealing with. On top of that nothing I did seemed to incentivise the provider(s): I paid installments early, all before time to try and get the project completed on time but nothing worked. Communication was terrible, absolutely terrible. If that could be fixed maybe it would have been a better experience but this has to be one of the worst projects I've undertaken on oDesk. I eventually had to terminate the project and seek a new provider who incidentally has turned out to be as bad! I'm not having any luck with this one.
