This is my first experience with softobiz , I would say that I’m not impressed. Before i get into the issues, let me first say the graphics work was good by gagan and that’s all. The problem I would say is that the person I interview didn’t turn out to be the core developer working on the project. Instead they decided to put an entry level developer on the project after I thought it was going to be the person i interviewed. I requested a senior dotnetnuke developer and instead they gave me an entry level developer. The company represented themselves like they where dotnetnuke experts, and that was not the case. Every step of the way the company couldn’t make deadlines, the code was not up to good coding standards. The company promised the project would be on time and on budget and they just only completed 20% of the project. The company spent more time trying to find new customers on odesk then trying to make their customers happy. We gave this company the opportunity to change its practices, but they failed again and again. We really didn’t want to but this comment out there, but we felt that we didn’t want this to happen to anyone else be very careful. And to make things worst we told them that we wanted end our relationship, and please send us our code. The company said they wouldn’t give us the code until we closed out the project and give them a fair rating. I couldn’t believe what was going on here….they finally realized that they were wrong and sent me the code. I realize now that I will always make sure I get a daily source code drop with the next vendor..if we decide to use odesk again. I believe odesk should keep track of people how are not doing good work and band them from the site.
