Project Management software, developed for Dataram Services P Limited
Tasks: Optimize utilization of resources (Computers, Operators etc), plan, schedule and monitor various projects, accumulate costs against each project.
Software used : Visual Basic, MS Access
Software capabilities:
Management is enabled to monitor, evaluate project and direct/ allocate resources across the projects in an ITES company.
Brief design outline: It is modeled after MS Projects and integrates costing as well as asset management functions while each project is being executed.
Employees of the Project management team access details of the project including processes to be adopted and technical specification relevant to their functions.
Head (Projects) is enabled to allocate projects to individual project manager breaking each into specified tasks along with budgeted time and cost with them. The data bases were created keep masters of client, employee, physical resources, projects, tasks, skill set, processes, expenses, vendors for outsourcing & other utilities etc.
A VB front end lets the individual operators to log in and access allotted tasks of the day. Project managers, Team leaders, Quality assurance team, Systems Manager and Finance Manager have separate front ends to access, analyze and update respective table/s.
Risk Management software - developed and deployed at Frontline Capital Service Limited and CornerStone Securities Limited,
Task : Contain and manage the exposure risk on clients’ open trades

Capabilities :
Enables the management to dynamically evaluate adequacy of margins and set limits at which auto closure of open contracts to contain the clients’ loss within the margin they have kept with the broking house.
Brief outline:
Clients’ open trades (contracts) as of previous trading day is obtained from the trading transactions data base along with their financial position, including balance to their credit, checks under collection, deliveries kept with the broker/ in-transit, auctions etc. A separate utility to the accounting software was developed to monitor auctions, in-transit deliveries in Foxpro. This info decides the further exposure / stop loss levels of the trades for each of the clients to be entered by the trader.
From the trading terminal fresh trades are saved onto a text file and this data is merged with the previous day’s open contracts. From the Reuter/ Knight Ridder (Stock Ticker agencies) prices of the stocks are saved on to MS Excel, which is converted into a table. These prices are used to measure the impact of the open contracts on the financial position converting the stocks held and all other stock related obligations at the prevalent rate. A shadow margin of 3-6% is used based on the liquidity and volatility of the stock to determine stop loss levels. These levels are fed as orders for the client to manage his open trades/ contracts.
Equity Trade Modeling software - developed and deployed at CornerStone Securities Limited,

Data on concluded trades from National Stock Exchange is obtained along with trade time. The data is normalized to reduce aberrations from extreme trade values. Moving average convergence and divergence was generated to yield buy/ sell triggers at various intervals. All possible combinations of moving averages were computed for period intervals of 10-200. This analysis was revisited aggregating the trades for 1, 2, 3 …60 minutes on data base of 30 days of traded values..
