The Florida Bar Foundation is nationally recognized for providing a legal voice to persons who have no voice. In the last three years the Foundation has awarded more than $100,000,000 in grants to legal aid programs throughout the State of Florida. The Foundation works closely with The Florida Bar’s 80,000 members to raise awareness about the legal needs of low-income individuals and families living in Florida. The primary responsibilities of the communications manager are: * To tell the Foundation’s story through effective use of electronic media including the Web site, video productions, and photography * To tell the Foundation’s story through effective use of print media including the annual report * To tell the Foundation’s story through preparing and distributing news releases to the media * To tell the Foundation’s story through advertising in periodicals * To support the Foundation’s special events including a 50th anniversary celebration * To serve as a resource for fund-raising professionals seeking major and annual fund gifts * To wisely manage the communications budget including contracts with designers and vendors * To maintain proficiency with all computer software programs to maintain a high level of productivity |
