(1) Operation Data Store:

ODS is new system developed to consolidate Gateway customer data different ERP sources into new system Operation data store. Conversion of the existing data and building new conversion engine to feed the data into ODS system. The ODS system is will source for customers information to all the Order capture, Sales, Marketing and MIS. ODS will host the 18 millions customer data from JDE legacy system after converted all the customer data.

(2) eSource Portal :

The esource portal is customized web sites for gateway customers. The web portal administrators will configures the website for gateway clients for specific hardware requirement systems. Gateway clients will do the shopping of the specify systems on the customized websites.   

• Database Administration for all databases (Production /Development/UAT).
• Involved in the data architecture and design of the eSource portal and ODS using ERwin Data modeler.
• Database monitoring using monitoring SQL and Unix scripts for timely prevention of the any short in space, extents and performance issues.
• Refresh of the development and database with production database when ever testing is requested
• Fine-tuning and trouble shooting for day to day problem or issue raised by development team.
• Implementing Backup and recovery mechanisms.
• RMAN backup and recovery scripts implemented for branches using DAT Tapes for backup.
• Designed and maintained a backup solution using Unix Shell scripting and Tivoli Storage Management
• Database/Application migration
• Application tuning by the checking the response time of the queries and transaction processing data, tuning of the process in the application which are using high resource at the OS level (Unix)
• Implementations of the Check collection and Reconciliation application.
• Application programming using PL/SQL and shell scripting.
• System and Integration Testing.
• Creation of Database, Tablespaces, Schemas, Schema Objects.
• Implementing the Primary & Foreign Key Constraints for the objects in the Schema.
• Implement and maintain database security using Users, Roles, Privileges, Audit Trails and Profiles features.
• Managing Database Structure, Storage Allocation, Table/Index segments, Rollback Segments, Undo Segments, and Constraints.
• Capacity Planning, Space Management, Database Upgrades / Migration and Data Extraction.
• Performance Tuning of Database and SQL statements using tools like Explain plan, TKPROF, SQL Analyze, UTLBSTAT, UTLESTAT, STATSPACK and Oracle Enterprise Manager etc.
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database through Database Tuning, Tuning Applications, Tuning Memory, and Tuning Disk Usage.
• Writing effective SQL, PL/SQL Programming - Database triggers and Stored Procedures.
• Guide Teammates for writing effective queries in applications.
• Audit trails for Application and Databases.
• Disaster recovery using Standby database, Database cloning, Replication and Data Guard technology.
• Involved in setup and maintenance of Veritas Clusters on Sun server.
• Manage TAR's with Oracle support Support.
• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
• Import-Export utilities and SQL * LOADER.
• Experience in using Remedy (Global Remedy System).
• Coordination with Oracle Support for critical problem resolution.
• Technical and other project documentation.
• Involved in the planning and execution of Oracle Migration from 8.x to 9.x.
• Worked as a part of team in 24x7 production environment and provided on-call and day-to-day support.
• Involved in setting up oracle 10g testing environment for check collection system for testing of application on 10g database.
