My career objectives for Odesk is to help my family bring in an extra income. I am a stay at home mom of 3 children, 2 of which are in school full time. I have decided that I am ready to put my talents to use and would like to be able to do that from home. Currently I do admin work for our small church. I volunteer and because we are so small, I am able to work from home over the internet. I set up outreach projects in the community. I also handle the organization of the Sunday worship service where it relates to volunteers to do the different jobs of running the service. I have several years of customer service background jobs and my goal in whatever I do is to make sure everything I do is done right the first time. I am not afraid to ask questions and am a hard worker. My favorite thing is to see projects all the way through to finished.
I have worked in some capacity of customer service since I started working at 16 years old. The first 2 years I was a box clerk at a local grocery store. The next 13 years of my career, I was a travel agent working in both leisure and corporate travel phone sales. For 5 of those years, I was a supervisor in both General Sales and Customer Service. The last 2 years, I have been a stay at home mom who volunteers at our church and local animal shelter. Please see Experience for more information.
This class was an online class with 24 hours of training during a 6 week period. This class focused on analyzing magazines, brainstorming ideas, researching, interviewing, letter queries and time management.
