Looking for a chance to utilize and improve skills with upcoming assignments as well as build portfolio. Whether a poster, a comic or storboard, brochure, portrait, or even a multimedia based project for a client or a business, I am sure the required skills and qualifications are well met and occaisionally exceeded on my behalf. If not for the experience, then simply for the love and enjoyment of design.

Editing - creative writing
18 yrs
5.0
2009
http://www.gmclune2.webs.com
More of a pass time than a skill, creative writing has kept my imagination updated as a child, and my work more appealing as an adult. Utilizing the English language as a form of expressive communication, through art and emotion, I am able to emphasize and highlight a 1000 words a pictures is worth, using only a couple paragraphs. Not exactly technical or journalist writing, but creative writing. Useful with artwork that I have done so often, sometimes that description, that short story, or even that headline is all that picture really needs. (eg."Colour moving and still" can be a written concept explaining design or emotion, as you will see the text sampled on a website url that I put up just for fun, but you can have a look anway. I only did this because I was bored)
Please note;
the video clips are not my work, but samples from video games; the image on the front page is several in-game images rendered as a gif. using
Photoshop.
I clipped some videos and put them together in Flash, with my written expresions to recreate something often looked at as "childish games," to "embracing
and provacative literature." Very useful for clients seeking character design, story boards, or comics.
Graphics - Adobe Illustrator CS

4.0

http://www.gmclune1.webs.com
Included in the graphic arts field, there will always be room for Adobe Illustrator. Useful for its vector capabilities, and it's sharp graphics, this application can become the choice for rendering logos, letterheads, brochures, and business cards. Although not as proficient as Photoshop, my skills with Illustrator do improve upon each assignment. Keeping in mind for many illustration based projects, (one of my stronger skills) Photoshop would be recommended, as towards multi-page printed assignments, or published documents, I would prefer Illustrator for it's vector-based capability. ( it's usual to do the work in Photoshop and import it into Illustrator as an alternative).
Illustrator samples shown in the "advertisements" section of portfolio.
graphics - Adobe Photoshop CS

As an industry standard, Adobe Photoshop and other CS applications have become almost every day tools for many designers and professionals in a wide range of digital performances. For these assignments, I will utilize Photoshop for it's wide range of dynamic color effects, and usage of several media simularities, (eg. paintbrush, clouds, lighting etc). Within graphic art, using line work, or outlined drawings is usually a good combination with the edited graphics software. Many samples are shown in my portfolio of several every day designs that would demonstrate the versitility and performance of Photoshop's tools and accessories.
Illustration - inking, pencil
15 yrs
5.0
2009
http://www.gmclune1.webs.com
As probally some of the most basic and primitive skills, inking and penciling are what most artists and designers have begun with. The level of experience is based on overall talent and how well one can draw with these tools. On a professional level, drawing is based on how one is seeing. If you were to see the drawing of some samples, one might me able to see a level of experience. Not something based upon practice, or years of study or certificate, but much less upon piece work. I have the confidence to say I am on an intermediate level of drawing, regardless as the skill I was practicing the longest.
Drawing with pencil to produce soft and detailed shading, on a more realistic approach. Only one disadvantage and it's the mess sometimes from the eraser, or smodging pencil lead. Drawing with ink as practice to eliminate those problems, and producing high contrast and even sharper detail, although sometimes not as realistic.
Several samples in portfolio, keeping in mind, drawing and sketching requires no software, and no data to save. I had many quality samples that have been lost or misplaced over many years. And because its work usually done on paper, sometimes even the best drawings have gotten destroyed. ( wet, torn, mistaken for garbage, etc)
Multimedia - Flash
4 yrs
3.0
2009
http://www.gmclune1.webs.com
With the addition to printing and graphics, multimedia has always caught my interest. As to enhance and improve web pages, using Flash has brought me a new dimension toward design. Basic animation interacting with sound and graphics has captured our attention on and off line. Using average developement skills, with Flash I am able to compose moderate, and yet still interesting projects performing the basic and required needs of the application. For example, my portfolio was composed using Flash, displaying other design material I have done using other equipment. Look out for a new and updated portfolio coming soon!
