I remember when computers were huge piles of steel and ribbon and have kept up with the advances in PCs and software ever since. There were no personal computers when I entered the work force in Chicago back in the mid 70's. Computers were massive peices of "whatever" and it could take an entire room to contain them. I have no clue as to how they operated. I was only 17. What I do know is that we would take our reel to the computer room at the end of my work day. Go figure what happened afterwards.
It was the 80's that brought the arrival of the personal computer and of course I was a computer geek, buying all the programming guides and computer magazines so I could learn code, writing programs that needed endless debugging. It was fun but it wasn't the career that I dreamed for though it proved my urgings to learn anything and everything business-related. I was thrilled by business at an early age.
There isn't any program I can't navigate and eventually master in a short amount of time. I have experience in just about every office application/software that's on the market including web-based wordpress, constant contact and well, the list goes on and on. Having worked for a lot of temp agencies I have experience in almost every type of business. That diverse experience has proved invaluable.

Right now I teach on a site listed in my resume. It is a requirement that I write my own course-work for their classroom and they are tough about what they want from an instructor. I have worked part-time for that company since 2002 and have won two awards, an online mentor award, and an online instructor award.
At age 14 I landed a newspaper column of my own after soliciting the local newspaper. My idea for a column "Teen Talk" was a success. From there I considered going into journalism and or publishing. My dream client would be a magazine or publication of some kind; however, my dream is also to help any client be a success.

I have directly managed a team of 25 at one time and indirectly over a workforce of 100+ employees. My voice may be soft-spoken but I am firm about order and organization whereby no amount of great planning can succeed without.
I truly believe that my
communication skill became truly honed after having worked as an escalation supervisor for a travel agency. That experience has served me well.
