I have been using ODesk for a few years now and have hired (and fired) many programmers during those years and wasted lots of money in doing so. I never give 5 stars to anyone so I will explain each topic below.SKILLS: Daniel Grace is an exceptional programmer. He COMPLETELY understands and follows the specifications & instructions I provide him with. He is a skilled craftsman and is very knowledgable with various programming languages. QUALITY:The quality of his work is excellent. I feel like I have a partner in Daniel because he is as concerned as I am about the quality of my product(s).AVAILABILITY:Daniel is available for me with little or no delay. The last e-mail I sent to him this morning was responded to immediately within minutes. I find Daniel always available via e-mail, Skype and other methods. However, I never have to do more than e-mail him. He always responds as soon as he gets it (which is very quickly in my experience).DEADLINES:Projects are always delivered to me on time but usually ahead of time. This includes any last minute changes that may be necessary.COMMUNICATION:Communication is very good with Daniel. He likes everything through e-mail if possible and takes the time to answer each of my questions. I love this because it helps me keep better track of our discussions and decisions. Many times I have refferred to these e-mails to refresh my memory.COOPERATION:This is the main thing (if there is a main thing) I like about Daniel. He is very involved in making my product better and better. He treats it like was his product. We have made many changes thanks to Daniel.Next is a category that I can't choose on ODesk but that is VERY important to me and should be to you as a Buyer.HONESTY:I will give this example as an illustration. Once while talking with Daniel about a bug we had, he told me that it was in an area of code that was "delicate" and full of unexplored code (left a mess by the previous programmers and not touched by him yet). He imformed me that it would take some time to work out but that he was on it. About 5 minutes later Daniel asked me to "try it now". Works perfectly still to this day. The point is that I was prepared for a big bill and would not have known the difference if he had charged me for days of work. Instead, he was honest. (Something ALL my other previous programmers could learn from).Daniel has replaced the three programmers I had before and exceeded their capabilities by far everyday.
