Third Year – SOBOT Security Robot System
Purpose, Scope and Objectives If our whole family in a holiday trip or went to an occasion, etc… Won’t we think about our home and valuable things inside the home? Who does secure our home from thieves? .– We can watch inside the home from remote location (From Anywhere anytime) – When something going wrong with the house, robot will send a massage to the serve r (using 27MHz transmitter) and then server will send a massage to us. Server is Sun system java application server. – Receive sms alert when something happening in our home afterwards. – Sever is capable of capture videos from the wireless camera fixed on the robot. – We can watch the things that the robot is watching at that movement, online. – We used Micro controllers to control robot. – We used ‘Pic basic’ language to program the micro control chip. – We can give commands to put the security alarms on in our home and call the police, call to our neighbors – which let the user to interact online with plants. Finally command robot to drive inside home to watch the situation of our home then satisfy with our self
runner up-Imagine Cup Competition, University of Colombo-MY Plant.The concept was developed to address the theme “A world where technology enables us to live healthier lives”,My Plant let the user choose a plant from any location and look after it(Watch plant live online and Control the watering). In the future my plant will be a real solution for a virtual pet.It was an effort to bring the modern man closer to the nature in order to provide him some relief of enormous stress. - a web portal
