This AS3 video component was custom built to work seamlessly with Akamai's media streaming framework where the content is being hosted. This was a very complex build that had to incorporate JAVA calls to and from the HTML container page to load content selected from other sections of the site.
The most complex requirement of this project was that the page nor video component could refresh in any way when new content was loaded. This required each element of the player to have custom code allowing it to listen for content refresh and hold its state while the content loaded in the video container. We have not seen any other player support this level of seemless interaction with a site and content without refreshing all elements with a global call.
The component also includes full traffic analytic support for all interactions as well..

Description:
This was an application developed to run in full screen mode on kiosks presented in retail store environments. The application had to represent RSS feeds in categories in a unique manor.
There are tentacles or hairs of different colors that grow from one side of the screen. Each color respresents a particular RSS feed category and the user can select a hair to expand it and get more information its specific feed.
The hairs had to have a very organic movement as if they were flowing freely underwater. This was a very complicated effect and was accomplished completely by code using AS3.

Description:
Mia Manor is a development in Charlotte, NC made up of upscale custom homes. I was contracted to develop the branding as well as a full suite of marketing materials to reflect the sophistication, planning and attention to detail this community was built around.
The brand is carried through every piece of this identity/marketing package all the way down to the custom brick pillars I drafted for the neighborhood's entrance.
Site design and development was accomplished without any other team members to deliver this site for a residential development company.
