The project posted and subsequently accepted by Naresh was to provide a pop-up data entry form for an existing website. I am unsure whether there were other issues (such as english ability) that hindered his progress but Naresh undertook what was almost a complete site redesign. I am highlighting english ability as a possible problem only because his work was consistently buggy with typos and poor spelling. It was also made clear to Naresh that the project was on tight timelines - he stated that the project could be completed in 10 hours of work. A week later (some of his tardiness may be due to illness - this was not communicated) the project was not complete as requested. I was able to take the bit of PHP code written by Naresh and within an hour reconstitute it to something that would work but was short of the requirement.I have disputed his billed 11+ hours as I feel that had he concentrated on the project as proposed he could have completed it quickly and without issue.I would recommend having some form of project plan to give to Naresh along with timelines if you plan on employing him. That said the quiality of the PHP code generated looks quite good.
This provider did not finish the project due to taking way too long to finish even the most simplest of tasks - such as setting up a basic Joomla 1.5 installation. In fact, this way about as far as the project got, and that wasn't even completed as required. There were days that past without any work being done and then the provider spent 3.5 hours setting up a basic Joomla 1.5 with jReviews components. The jReviews tutorials show an installation being set up within minutes...When asking multiple times about what was going on with the installation and the seemingly excessive hours for just setting up the modules, the provider didn't answer until about the 5th or 6th time asking. Then, he went on to say that he didn't have the correct product key for jReviews, the component purchased for this Joomla site. Perhaps that's because the jReviews key was sent to me by email and the provider didn't know this was the case - I don't know. But now I'm stuck with extra hours for something that doesn't seem or feel like my mistake.I will take responsibility for the first 3 or 4 hours of this project and nothing got done because Dreamhost.com didn't have Ioncube installed which was needed to verify the jReviews software purchase and usage. Besides that though, this provider did not prove they knew what they were doing.I would not use or recommend this person based on their lack of urgency to get this project done even after multiple emails asking for an update or completion date.
