About The Company Chemro Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd. was established in the year 1990 on the 12th of February. The company’s primary goal was to become a leading supplier of industrial raw materials, ingredients and chemicals in Sri Lankan market. With the support of our suppliers, all leading manufacturers of internationally recognized brand names in the industrial market we offer our customers new & efficient products, solutions & technologies to improve the quality of the existing range of products or by supporting them in formulating entirely new products and ideas. I was recruited originally as the company secretary on the 2nd of December 1998 to support the company’s Country manager & to train me accordingly on the required protocol. My duties & responsibilities are listed below and my tenure in this position ended on the 4th of December 2000;

Ø Performance & management of business operations Ø Planning by establishing goals & arranging them in logical order for both long & short term planning by deciding in advance what to do, how to do it, when to do it & who should do it. Ø Staffing & screening by determining staffing needs, writing job descriptions and recruiting people to fill the positions. Ø Organizing involving the identification of responsibilities in departments or divisions to achieve a coordinated effort among all elements & delegating authority, responsibility & the span of control within supervisory units. Ø Direction by leading people in a manner that achieves the goals of the organization, which involves the proper allocation of resources, an effective support system, & motivating people to find the correct balance between emphasis on staff needs & emphasis on economic production. Ø Controlling to evaluate the quality in all areas & detecting potential or actual deviations from the organizations plan. This includes information management, measurement of performance & institution of corrective actions where necessary. Budgeting beginning with creation and implementation of a budget plan through application controls. |
