MyPlay.com, a website from Sony BMG - an industry leading music giant, is a very popular Music and Video Sharing platform developed using Drupal.
We used CCK module with Taxonomy and created Vocabulary and Terms within it along with Node-type (custom profile) pages.
Also used is Drupal Block module for creating blocks and Pages. We also used the Video CCK Module for Implementing the Video Uploading Functionality and Media Sharing features.
One of the major features in the website is its events subscription and scheduling system. We modified an existing open-source calendar based system in to it which helps publisher/admin publish events and subscribers/site-users subscribe to those events. Using an auto-responder module the events are dispersed to the subscribers at regular intervals.
The project also involved developing of a very easy to use customizable CMS so as to empower users to develop widgets which they could publish on various social platforms like facebook and clearspring.
