Gaurav has good english skills, but had some difficulty getting an understanding of how the project was supposed to progress.  We did not have enough opportunity to gauge his coding skills but they seemed good.  There was just a disconnect in the ability to provide what I was looking to get.  Ultimately, it was the inability to get this across and have timely responses to update requests that made us choose another provider.

I should also note that his work diary screenshots did not properly reflect the work being performed and this detracts from the comfort level with the progress being made by a remote team.  He indicated this was a technical problem, but it's worth noting that this added to a lack of visibility to the work.

Again, code could be very good...and these comments are only made on communication issues which we find important for managing a remote worker.

Perhaps given a requirement scope that is better defined, Gaurav would be the perfect choice.
