The provider was clearly competent with strong skills for the job. However, he sometimes had trouble understanding what was being requested. He was overly eager to please, which is a positive thing, but unfortunately this led to short shrift on testing and attention to detail, as he was anxious to get the job done. Due to the fact that he's halfway around the world and working in a different timezone, the calendar time involved became unneccessarily long; this is a problem with anyone overseas and he can't be blamed for his location, however it was especially pronounced due to the lack of attention to detail which resulted in a lot of management work on my part, and his needing to redo things to fix the details that were overlooked. Even the most minor changes take 24 hours because of his location, and if a mistake is made the calendar time doubles, even though the chargeable time was very reasonable. In short if you have a tight budget but time is on your side, then you can't go wrong with this provider. In fact, with more experience this provider will become a very strong addition to anyone's team. I plan to continue using him as the price is right, he's got the skills necessary to get the job done, his shortcomings are fairly minor and correctable with some coaching and he's pleasant to work with.
