I was a Nurse Fellow for Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, a 400-bed capacity, government tertiary hospital and was assigned on a rotation basis at the Medical Ward, Medical ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and Contagious Diseases Pavilion for three months.
Duties and responsibilities were:
· Maintaining accurate and detailed reports and records · Assessing patient’s over-all condition using the Nursing Process · Monitoring, recording and reporting changes in patients’ health status · Modifying patient treatment plans as indicated by patient’s responsiveness and condition · Consulting and coordinating with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans · Preparing patients for, and assisting with, examinations and treatment · Implementing patient care plans, in conjunction with medical management, to achieve optimal resolution of patients’ healthcare problems/ needs |
