For the last 10 years, I have been working in the software testing field. I have developed my own test harnesses using a combination of Perl , shell and some tcl/tk scripts. I have experience in automated software testing and some debugging skills.
I have experience in basic firewall configurations (iptables), as well as aspects of security (ip tunneling, ssh, ssl)
I am seeking opportunities to assist folks/companies to maintian, build and develop test plans, test cases and automated builds/tests for thier software. I am more efficient in a Linux/UNIX environment.

Fidelity Investments (http://www.fmr.com) is a large privatley owned financial services company.
My responsibilities included leading a small team of folks in a middleware migration project - Tibco Middleware to Wombat Consulting. This was Solaris 2.6 to a RHEL 4.x.
We made sure that the financial market data coming from the old (Tibco) was exactly as accurate as the new (Wombat Consulting). We did this with a variety of methods , mostly writing our own test harnesses in Perl, shell script and some Java.
The financial data was live data from major markets (NYSE, NASDAQ) , Commodities, Futures as well as foreign markets (TSE, TSX, FTSE)
An additional project was a historical data project, using a product called Vyahu Velocity Server. This provided historical data for up to 10 years of market activity.
