Have used photoshop to edit photos, clean up older photos, whiten teeth, make skin look smoother, etc, etc. Have designed numerous different kinds of commercial material for print purposes, like business/visiting cards, postcards, brochures, bi-folds, tri-folds, posters, door hangers, etc, etc, and many other kind of graphics for printing, commercial purposes. Several other smaller jobs in photoshop such as changing image formats, preparing images for websites, adding borders and frames to images, making collages of smaller photos, adding effects to photos like sephia, blur, motion blur, night vision, etc, etc.
a)Â Â Â Â Â Started helping college students with course assignments. Courses included Post Graduation, Hotel Management, Commerce and even optional courses like religion, etc. I offered help in the form of tuitions, revising/correcting/editing project work, helping in preparations for exams, etc.
b)Â Â Â Â Â Internet Financial Research. Collecting information about various companies in a particular field, formatting information into presentable powerpoint files, creating graphs, creating list of members on the Board of Directors, separating individuals by age, experience, etc, etc. Collecting profit/loss/balance information about various companies and presenting it in graphical formats.
c)Â Â Â Â Â Â Website Editing/Modification. Making minor changes to website, usually in the CSS files to change the colors, locations, size of fonts and paragraphs.
d)Â Â Â Â Â Using Photoshop to create pop art style art of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein of normal photos of people.
e)Â Â Â Â Â Used Photoshop to create Business Cards (visiting cards), Postcards, brochures, door hangers, bi-fold and tri-fold advertisements and more. Clients were hotels, spas, salons, realtors, doctors, salesmen, small and big business, etc, etc, etc. I have over 3 years experience in designing such products in photoshop, and all of them have been received with very positive feedback.
f)Â Â Â Â Â Â Using a combination of different programs (Such as adobe dreamweaver, adobe professional 8.0, pdf split, photoshop cs3, photoshop elements 2.0 and a few more) to convert books, magazine or even jpeg files into a 3DPage flipping format for online viewing as a 3D magazine. This involves knowledge of Adobe Professional 8.0, splitting pdfs, combining pdfs, modifying, cleaning, editing, recombining pdfs, etc.
g)Â Â Â Â Â Creating clickable spots (balloons) on google maps. Given the name of a place, I find the latitude and longitude of the place, enter the information into the page that displays the map, using Adobe dreamwear. Create a pop-up balloon for each spot to be clicked, add an icon to the hotspot, etc. End result is a spot on the map which can be clicked to get more information or more images and extra links too.
h)Â Â Â Â Â Using my HP Scanjet G3010 to scan books, magazine, photos, posters etc, etc, and save them as jpeg, pdf, rtf, txt or any other format and either send them back to the receiver by email, through a FTP server, or even I can put it on a cd/dvd and mail it to them.
a)Â Â Â Â Â Served as Junior Apprentice Engineer' at Godrej Ltd. In Mumbai for over a year.
b)Â Â Â Â Â While in Mumbai, started attending evening computer courses and obtained "Global Skills in Java Programming" from Aptech Computer Education, India (http://www.aptech-education.com/)
c)Â Â Â Â Â Â Was offered a teaching job as 'Junior Faculty' shortly after completion of course, which I accepted.
d)Â Â Â Â Â Was also offered teaching position at NIIT in Goa (www.niit.com) which I accepted and moved back to Goa.
e)Â Â Â Â Â Courses I thought at NIIT were: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â i) Advanced Java Programming, including networking, java beans, applets, multi-threading, etc ii) C programming language ii) C++ Programming languages, basics of Object Oriented Programming, loops, struts, etc, etc. iii) Sequential Query Language using MS Sql. 4) Basic and advanced html (This was back in 2000 and I have been out of touch with most of these, so I not offer them as part of my online profile)
f)Â Â Â Â Â Â Built up some contacts while teaching, and started getting offers for independent projects, big and small. Gradually moved over to working freelance only.
a)Â Â Â Â Â Did all my primary and secondary school education with English as the main language. Other languages taught were Hindi, French and other regional Indian languages.
b)Â Â Â Â Â Did BSc (Bachelor of Science) in junior college and secured 88% marks.
c)Â Â Â Â Â Â Was among the 40 students selected from the entire state for admission into the Goa College of Engineering in 1996 in the Mechanical Engineering stream.
d)Â Â Â Â Â Obtained my BE Mech (Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) with 76% marks in 2000.
e)Â Â Â Â Â Appeared for campus interview in my final semester of my engineering course, and was selected as 'Junior Apprentice Engineer' to work in Vikhroli, Mumbai at Godrej Ltd. (www.godrej.com)
f)Â Â Â Â Â Â During the Engineering Course, I have learnt programming languages like Fortran, C, C++, and Java. I also completed a final year project on "Industrial Manufacturing Processes" and I personally made all the drawings of all the machines and machine parts and cross sections using AutoCad2000 on my home computer.
