I have been a creative writer, working in short stories, prose, screenplays (which are WGA registered) and online commentary for more than 15 years. I am capable of writing in many styles and genres, and am even capable of mimicing the style of other writers, to better facilitate collaborative writing. I maintain a website where the bulk of my writing is showcased. In addition, I am an active blogger, with posts including personal experiences, film/television/music reviews, political commentary, and advice on interpersonal communication. I have a long history and understanding of the internet in general, networking communities (including moderating multiple communities at once), web design and content writing, and exceptional researching skills.
I have also worked in IT Security Administration for 4 years, including management of a 30 person enterprise security team for John Deere. In that capacity, I was responsible for creating and overseeing technical documentation creation, testing of new applications, and the implementation of an electronic knowledge base, and project management. I have a firm work history with SharePoint, all Microsoft Office programs, several specialty credit and security applications, and Tivoli Identity Management software. I also have a working knowledge of HTML and style sheet coding.
I am eager to use my ever expanding skill set to assist in many forms of creative and technical writing, project management, and web content development.

I have designed three websites since I first became interested in web site administration. One of these sites was a collaborative essay community, focusing on a popular science fiction/fantasy mythology. That site is no longer available.
I have most recently completed a base site to showcase all of my creative writing. It is fully developed, though more content is still being added regularly.

Tech Team Global
Team Leader / Team Lead
I was part of the Enterprise Security Administration team for John Deere & Co. My primary job function's included maintaining network and Host security for approximately 70% of all John Deere facilities. This includes, but is not limited to; assigning network security access through Active Directory, assigning host and web access through QWS3270, managing access to individual business and financial applications, arranging security for new employees and employees changing positions/facilities in the company , and handling Microsoft Exchange issues for John Deere corporate and other divisions. Within 6 months, I was established as a backup Lead Analyst, assisting other agents with processes and security decisions. I also suggested several process improvements that were implemented, and helped maintain process documentation. Additionally, I created and administer our SharePoint site where our documentation is stored.
Within a year of being assigned a backup lead, I became a primary Lead Analyst. My primary responsibility was assisting other agents with processes and security decisions. I was also responsible for helping to manage team focus during workload peaks, coaching team members, and developing new processes for the security team. This was in addition to all the functions of my previous title of Security Analyst.
Approximately three months after being assigned as a Lead Analyst, I was asked to be the Team Lead for the department. As a working Team Lead of the Security Administration Team, my responsibilities included all Security Analyst duties as well as managing the Team staff. This includes performance evaluation, payroll processes for team management, management of staff to accommodate work flow changes, mentoring and coaching of team members and management of projects to add and streamline the company security processes.
I was also highly involved in creating documentation and software descriptions that clearly convey how to use programs to IT professionals and non-technologically trained end-users. This included using screenshots, and adding additional graphics to those images (to document how to work in a program), and step by step instructions. I was also responsible for reviewing and requesting documentation updates and revisions from my teams documentation SME’s (Subject Matter Experts), including coordinating with division and project/software specific security teams within my client’s organization to determine if all information was accurate, and having the documentation reviewed by potential users for any confusion in the terminology or processes.
In addition, I oversaw the transfer of all written documentation to a functional and dynamic electronic Knowledge Base, working closely with the business analysts at my client’s company, the Knowledge Engineers at my company, and the team members I assigned to the building of the Knowledge Base. This also required coordination of approximately 15 individuals that I assigned as SME’s for each division in the client’s company and certain specific programs/departments. The entire project worked from a preset time line, and we were required to meet those guidelines for completion of each section, often while getting multiple revisions to existing documentation, that had to be implemented as quickly as possible.

I was also charged with creating all documentation related to moving our operations from paper to a computerized system. As the other Coordinators in my office were not well versed in computer use, I had to create step by step manuals f or each of our daily tasks, and form instructions for my supervisor to compile data from those reports, to submit to our home office. For my efforts in training and documenting these new electronic processes, I was named employee of the month in January 2002.

Placement with: President Casino's Executive Offices
This position included Data Entry, General filing, and redemption of coupons for the casino, destruction of all used coupons, and various small jobs for different people. I was offered this position on a permanent basis, however during the application process, a current employee in another division applied for the position. They have a policy of allowing current employees first chance at any open jobs. I did stay on to train the permanent replacement, and I also created a detailed manual of the primary duties in the instance that a temp would have to be brought in during the busy season.
