Researched, toured and deployed a new datacenter for the company in Las Vegas. Frequently traveled between Los Angeles and Las Vegas over a 5 month period. Project included price negotiation on power, bandwidth and square footage.
Maintain all network security, included multiple layers from the edge of the network, to the individual hosts. Including IP and MAC ACL's, various firewall apparatus’s, and manipulation of IPTables on Linux hosts.

Networking:
Manage international MPLS network. Including the deployment of new facility in Wuxi, China. The MPLS network consists of 13 sites located it in Europe, North Americas, and Asia.
Deployed disaster recovery location facility located in Irvine.
Managed Voice Over IP project. Acquired vendors’ bids for contract work. Upgraded core and distributed layer networks in preparation for Voice Over IP deployment.
Linux:
Managed all Linux systems.
Migrated company from 19th floor of One Wilshire building to 7th floor of the One Wilshire building. Migration included moving 1,100 servers over a two month period on a live network.
Setup Nagios to monitor system health of servers. Including diskspace usage, cpu temps, cpu load, memory usage, etc.
Moved network from 1 GigE optical switched environment to a 4 x 1 GigE BGP load balanced environment.
Regularly upgraded and maintained companies routers on a 24/7 live network, an environment that sees little to no downtime.
