My writing career spans a wide range of disciplines, from technical writing to journalism to marketing writing.  I've documented e-commerce portals, oil field drilling equipment, consumer electronics, personal computers, DSP chips, database kernels and deployed systems, telephone infrastructure equipment, SDKs, APIs, complex microprocessors, networking controllers, software, and operating systems.  I've also done illustration and graphic design for online and print publications, using both electronic and manual methods.  I have almost 30 years experience as a photographer in film and digital media.  Clients have included Motorola, Liberty Mutual, IBM,  Nortel, Dell Computer, ClearCube Technology, MD Totco (Varco), and numerous high-tech startups.  My software proficiencies include FrameMaker, Word and other Office applications, MS Project, XML, HTML/DHTML, BEA AquaLogic, Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat, PaintShop Pro, Visio, SGML, Interleaf/Quicksilver, SQL, Java, Perl, C, and other languages.  I'm experienced in Mac OS X, Windows (3.1 through XP), Unix, and Linux.  Project management has been a key factor in nearly every assignment I've undertaken.  I was the lead writer on most assignments.  I've also worked in a number of jobs with regulatory compliance requirements such as WEEE, RoHS, Sarbanes-Oxley, and quality systems such as SEI CMM and ISO9000.  I am experienced in researching and interpreting regulatory and legislative documents.
