This job started off great, or so I thought. I was supposed to start on April 1, to work 15-20 hours a week, so I kept my schedule clear. When she wasn't ready (she was on a camping trip), I was without a job for the hours I had saved for her. When she did get ready to start, she had a deadline that was very close and that she had never mentioned, and by then I had more things going on than I would have had when the job had been scheduled to start, so making that deadline would have been difficult, even if the job had gone as expected at that point. It very quickly became clear, however, that Rebecca wanted a blog, as she contracted to get, but she only knew the language of static pages. She kept asking for things in language that I had to interpret, and reinterpret, and the communication completely broke down. What I learned after our relationship ended was that in reality her husband was manipulating her in the background, telling her how I should be doing it, representing himself as knowing all about WordPress (which he clearly does not). In the end, he sent me email calling me names, which I forwarded to odesk, and I expect him to leave me a zero score for feedback. Rebecca tried, so I am trying to balance my feedback between her and her husband, who was not the client, as far as I knew, but who in the end challenged my work diary and will be leaving feedback for me here.
