Job Title - Grid based Data Virtualization- GRADIENT
This is an Enterprise Information Integration (EII) solution. It addresses challenges in enterprise data access and integration. It enables applications to access both raw and integrated data from multiple, heterogeneous, and distributed data sources, while concealing the complexity of disparate data sources. Rather than moving data or creating new stores of integrated data, the EII solution creates a federation of multiple existing data sources and provides a single, virtual data source through which applications can access data. EII creates a "data service" or "data veneer" that enables applications and end-users to treat multiple data sources as a single source of data.
Role : Research and Development. Was responsible for finding and developing an efficient plan of execution and the most efficient join algorithm. Apart from these I used to do cache management at different places in the project.

Project : Grid Application Engineering Framework
Migration of legacy applications to Grid is imperative for analytical, backend batch and data intensive applications to ensure high performance and throughput. Migration involves significant investments in terms of domain knowledge and judgment on application analysis and reengineering. The Grid Application Engineering Framework analyzes the application portfolio, profiles the code base for Grid enablement, and suggests the best possible way for migrating legacy applications to the Grid environment. The framework helps specialists take informed decisions during migration.
My Role: As for our project information storage we used to use MySQL only, so have good hands on it.
