During the period, Sheetal was an Advisor with the firm – the company was establishing its presence in the Pune & interior Maharashtra business. As she was the highest-ranking graduate from their 2nd batch-she found herself besides soliciting Life Insurance policies –also Inducting & training the new hires. Besides Product, Soft skills & communication trainings – sales training, Negotiation Techniques were also imparted. She founded the training division of the Pune branch.
Sheetal resumed her career as a FOOD CONSULTANT & TRAINER & went on to mark her presence in the culinary world, through:
· Her own culinary show on Star Plus “Good Morning India – Breakfast Show”
· Co-authoring “Good Food Guide” with Rashmi Uday Singh – as a Restaurant Critic
· Writing culinary articles in local dailies & magazines
· Developing own brand for Exotic Herbs – through extensive Brand building exercise & marketing initiative
She continued to provide Consultancy on Turnkey basis to set-up Catering establishments (Confectioners, Delicatessens, Restaurants, Bakeries, Cafes, Culinary Classes). Through her Culinary School she provided training at novice & professional levels. She successfully launched India’s fist Culinary Tourism Project with the Osho Ashram.
This is a typical "PROVIDERs BEWARE" case.Angel posted the job saying she is looking for a ghostwriter. Without interviewing me I was hired. On asking her to catch up on a call/chat - she said she was a face to face person & did not care for such contact. So I was clueless of what was required, her prefered style or expectation,etc. I volunteered to write her an excerpt FREE of charge, to help me customize. but her needs changed.Next(15th Oct) she reverted asking me to guide her to my cover letter, saying maybe she misunderstood what I had applied for! Then I was told she had erringly put ghost-writer, when she was looking for a REWRITER. She offered me to opt-out incase I wasn't keen on the task. On asking her:1. How many hours a day does she need me for? Any certain times of the day or I get to chose the time?2. How much is the maximum billing per month that she was aiming at?3. Would she care to go for a fixed deal?4. When would she send me my 1st assignment to re-write, so that I could commence my work?She answered she was busy traveling on her home-shows & would revert soon.On 17th oct, when I provided her a reminder, I was told, she didnt have the PATIENCE & if I choose I could quit. She added she had a better & more exciting position, keeping my vast experience in mind.20th Oct - I am awarded a $10 bonus.21st Oct - i receive an email, asking if I was happy with the bonus & she would revert in 5 days.25th Oct - I am told, she wants me to sell products for her! Needless to say this has been a waste of time , a confused buyer, who though tried to respect my talent/time - failed miserably.I just hope I am not awarded with a lousy feedback, for no fault of mine!sheetal36@odesk.com
