The data is converted from an Access database to a Compact SQL Server database, via a VB.NET desktop application I also made.

Features:
Has a fast access calendar (just hover the mouse over the clock and the calendar appears)
Notification of system events (change of power states, devices added/removed, disks added/removed, configuration changes. All notifications can use any of the following methods: In-clock text, Messenger-style popup notification, speech notification (using text-to-speech), sound notification, and also execution of a program/script.
Up to 100 configurable alarms, that can trigger any of the notifications.
