In the past seven years, I have been gaining experience in the business field through training, volunteering, and working. I have been an office assistant, a resident service assistant, and a secretary. I have been in the writing field for over twelve years. I have written essays, reports, summaries, short stories, poetry, articles, and research papers. I have edited and proofread many documents as an independent contributor. I am proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. I also know basic HTML and I have created a few websites. I am seeking projects in which I can display my writing abilities and my office skills. Objectives:-to provide high-quality service to clients through hard work, dedication, and research to ensure accuracy and punctuality.
-to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.-to complete quick projects for clients as well as providing hourly service.
I have been an office assistant, resident service assistant, and an administrative assistant. My duties included answering and transferring calls, delivering messages, sorting and distributing mail, recording guest log entries, writing incident reports, writing other documents, setting up appointments, filing documents, and mailing documents.
Many of my assignments and projects have required me to conduct research. I have completed many research papers. When I research, I use more than one source. I research through the internet, books in the library, magazines, journals, and tv & radio interviews.
I worked for University of Southern Mississippi, Department of Residence Life, located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I worked at the front desk of the honors residence hall. As a Resident Service Assistant, I: -provided service to residents during visitation hours -recorded guest and desk log entries-answered telephone calls-greeted and assisted guests and employees -prepare incident reports, as necessary-assisted in preparing for maintenance and other personnel -assisted in protecting residents by enforcing visitation policies
I am currently in the process of my creating my own web development project. I have created teams to help me with research and other tasks.
