Just to provide some feedback to the coding, please make sure that you clear your elements after your last floating element.

e.g.

In relation to the min-height style, this only work with Firefox and IE7 and does not work with IE6 and before. To solve the problem, you will need to place a IE hack style code which look similar to this.

div { min-height: 300px; }

• html div { height: 300px; }

 
Because IE7 doesn't except hacks so the hack used here will only be used for IE6 and before.
