I adapted the osCommerce application for use in an online UK florist retail store. Customization included Paypal payment, changes made to the template and layout and the addition of supplementary modules which allow for correct order processing.
French/Authentik ProjectCreated several e-learning apps using PHP/mySQL including a split screen French application (used by undergraduates at the University of Aberdeen from 2002-present)Â where the material was displayed along with self assessment and recorded assessment details. IT Tutor, Cedars Tutoring Centre, Doha, Qatar
Cedars is a tutoring centre in Doha which predominately helps students with a lower English ability improve their English, while continuing their studies and then enter into one of the main English speaking schools in Doha.
My responsibilities were to plan lessons and tutor IGCSE (14/16 year old)Â students in Information Technology. I also created lessons, based around the English national curriculum, to help younger students with their IT skills.
Passed with Distinction. Included courses in ECDL (European Computer Driving License), Delphi, JavaScript, PHP, Web Design, CLIPS, Logic. Completed a group project in Delphi designing Geography Quiz Software for use in Elementary School and an individual project in Bioinformatics.Â
BSc (Hons), 2:1. Thesis was a computer based research project - Stop Codon Analysis in C.Elegans.
One of many osCommerce sites I've worked on in the last few months, created from the clients design and modified to include a number of contributions as required.
Using Flash/Actionscript to adapt an interactive application previously written in JavaScript. The application allows students to progress through the key to correctly classify the laboratory samples. I planned this project to rewrite the underlying code making use of existing images, text and logic.

This paper was presented at the 2004 QuestionMark European Users Conference. It is written based on e-learning assessment software and a novel approach taken to extend the softwares' capabilities.Further information and access to the Perception Assessments can be found through the URL above.
