I have spent the past 7 years volunteering my time to help Schlumberger Spouses Association at both the local and global level. I created the website how-to section. I have helped members around the world learn to use the tools on the website. I would like to use my experience to do the same for other companies.

HTML coding of weekly email blasts for Dealmaker Media via oDesk.com for the past couple of months. I am sent either a doc or rtf version of the email blast. I add the HTML code and create a text version so both can be sent out via whatcounts.com website. I test the blast to see how it appears in Outlook 2007. Then Christen or Shay get it approved and then schedule it for sending. This takes between 3 and 6 hours a week. The limits of the pdf file do not do the email blast justice. HTML version can be viewed at http://www.mandsdesign.net/kaplan/1-29-08-blast.html
I have over three years volunteer experience as the Web Content Editor for the global organization, Schlumberger Spouses Association (SSA). Their web site is located at www.ssafara.net.
I was responsible for validating web site submissions, helping SSA members learn how to use the site, and help the global board and webmaster with their projects. I created an area with tips and hints to help the spouses use the posting tools located on the site. I was also doing an e-newsletter to get information about the site out to the spouses. I left that position when I was asked to fill the volunteer Global IT Coordinator position in January 2006. I am still the Global IT Coordinator for SSA. The attached file is one I recently created for a QHSE promotion.
