08/2004 03/2006 Paprikaas Animation Studios, Bangalore, India. Texturing Lead / Team Lead Paprikaas Animation Studios is one of the leading animation studios in India which offers complete 3D animation services for the Television and Film media.

Rejoined in the second tenure as a Senior level Texturing/Shading artist. My responsibilities were comprised of managing a team of 6 artisits and training them in generating procedural shaders, digital painting of textures, UV unwrap and UV layout.

Projects Summary -
FarmKids:
Have designed and implemented a production process for the generation of grass for exterior sets, using Ornatrix plug-in for 3D Studio Max 8.0. The production for about 200 shots for 2 episodes was completed in a record time of 14 days.

Disney Toons:
Have worked on two test projects for Disney toons, based on two of Disney’s most famous characters. These projects are aimed at bringing back these characters in the 3D medium. Softwares used are, Maya Unlimited 6.0, Mental Ray & Photoshop 7.0.

Karvy:
Three, 10 second Television Commercials produced for Karvy Financial Institution which was aired on CNBC. This project required the incorporation of 3D character animation with live footage shot on three different locations. XandI:
A feature length 3D animated movie for ASP studios, Italy. The style of this project was semi-realistic, where only the backgrounds had a very high level of realistic details. The use of procedural textures and shaders as well as digital painting were used to achieve the desired results. Softwares used were, Maya Unlimited 6.0, DarkTree 2.0 & Photoshop 7.0. Rendering tests were done on Maya default renderer, Mental Ray, and RenderMan compliant renderer 3Delight. The use of respective shaders was also part of the test.

Projects Summary -
Tally:
A marketing tool for an accounting software, developed by Tally. This presentation serves as a PC based self training module for the purpose of training executives in the marketing of the software. This presentation contains information about Tally as a company as well as Tally as a software. This presentation was completely developed using Flash animation and action scripting.
GTran:
A web based interactive application for GTran, a telecom service provider. This application was a part of an online repair management system which was developed using Flash animation and action scripting. The application served as an online guide to the basic usage of the mobile phone.
STPI:
This Corporate Presentation serves as a portfolio, as well as a communication tool for marketing the services offered by STPI towards the promotion of software exports from India. This presentation also constitutes information about the Software Technology Parks of India as a non-profit society, its role, its presence, Schemes offered, the quality policy and specific information about STPI Bangalore. Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Director and Adobe Premier were the technologies used to develop this presentation.
Reliance & Tally:
The development of an audio visual presentation for a promotional campaign initiated by Reliance, a telecom company and Tally, a software development company. This was a seasonal offer promotion which was aimed at the local market. The technologies used to develop this Audio Visual presentation were Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects, 3D Max and Maya Unlimited.

A fully animated tele-series for the American audience, which was a test project by Wild Brain situated in the USA. Software used was Maya Unlimited 4.0.

Bangalore City Police
This project was the design and development of a website for the local Police Department, which involved the management of a database using MS Access, online news and a suggestion box. Macromedia Dream weaver, MS Access and Adobe Photoshop were used.

Bangalore University
The design and development of a web site for Bangalore University which was developed using Adobe Photoshop, ASP, HTML and DHTML. This website contained information about the courses offered by the university, examination schedules, application counter addresses and a separate section for distance education.

Multimedia:
Airtel Information Kiosk
An interactive touch screen kiosk, which contained information related to the different rate plans, tariffs, schemes and services offered by Airtel. The Airtel information kiosk gave the subscribers and probable customers, all the pertinent data in a visually appealing and interesting way, where they could access the information that they were interested in. This information was subject to regular updating on a weekly basis. Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Director and 3D Max were used in the development of this project.

GE Power Management
A company profile of GE Power Management Group. This corporate presentation was designed and developed as a marketing tool. It contained pertinent information about GE Power Management Group, the services provided, the technologies implemented and their network. Macromedia Authorware, Adobe Photoshop and 3D Max were used for the design and integration.

BPL CBT
BPL Computer Based Training Package will act as a training tool for the Marketing department of BPL. The training package consists of information about the various products manufactured by BPL under various categories. This information is designed to teach the marketing executives about the products, the various features of these products in comparison to the competitive brands in the market. The package also insists on registry of information by the utilization of questionnaires and evaluation of these questionnaires.

Wockhardt Information Kiosk
An Information Kiosk about the Diseases and Treatments of the Heart. This kiosk contained information about the different types of ailments of the heart, the different types of treatments offered in order to cure these ailments in a highly detailed manner by the use of animation and video. Macromedia Authorware, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier and Macromedia Flash were used.
