MS Access - Membership Database 15 yrs 5.0 2008 I was responsible for designing, creating and teaching users a multi user Access database system that tracks memberships for a  discount dental and eye care company.  The database performs many functions such as generating id cards for members that have different options for both dental and eye care under the companies they work for.  There are a number of reports for brokers, individuals, providers and also tracks all sales calls to potential clients.  I created the system in 2004 and it is the main system for the company to this day.   My reponsibilities including learning how the company functions on a day to day basis, meeting with each individual that uses the system, designing and implementing the system as well as data migration from old system(s).  

This is a private system that contains highly personal information, however, I would be more than happy to provide an image with test information as an example as to the functionality of the system.  I would also be happy to provide a reference to individuals who currently use the system.

08/2003 08/2004 Meadowbrook Insurance Group Systems Manager / Manager For this company, my duties included writing system guidelines and conducting all agency training for "Agents Edge" - an online underwriting system for Meadowbrook Insurance Group.  Responsible also for gathering end user suggestions/requirements and closely working with the IS Department at home office to implement changes.  I conducted most training using an on-line "whiteboard" and phone conferences and some on location.

06/2000 09/2002 Broadwing IT Consulting (Cinti Bell) Application Developer / Independent Contributor I was a consultant for Broadwing IT Consulting for several clients.  I designed and implemented a MS Access database for Sara Lee Foods for a data system transition that allowed tracking to verify that reports were correctly being imported.  For this project, I worked with end users to gather requirements, wrote system guidelines and conducted end-user training.  

I also designed a tracking database for Cincinnati Bell Wireless.  I designed and implemented a change tracking database used for system issues, enhancements and business rules.  I also conducted end-user training for this system.
10/1999 06/2000 Western Southern Life Insurance Application Developer / Independent Contributor Designed VB front end and connectivity for Oracle database used for storage of user id's and passwords.  I was on the team reponsible for the rollout of IBM Notebooks for 2,700 users.  This included imagining the computers, designing documentation for end users and conducting training in the pilot offices and for home office employees.  Other projects included the rollout of LAN and intranet to district offices, designing ASP pages for Western Southern Life's Intranet and compiling installation setups in "Wise Install".
03/1999 10/1999 Chiquita Brands International Application Developer / Independent Contributor This 7 month project was to design and implement a multi-user Invoicing system for Accounting and Legal departments.  It was enhanced with functionality that included search, view, print, archiving and reporting capabilities.  I also designed an administration program for maintenance of company end user information. 

I conducted all training in classes of 30 or more users at a time.  I also conducted classes in MS Excel, Access and Crystal Reports.
