Interaction Designer

We are looking for a talented and passionate Interaction Designer to join our team and build supremely usable web applications.

We are seeking a combination of a left-brain analytical UI/ID/IA designer with a right-brain Visual Design aesthetic.

Responsibilities:

Work with Product Managers, Product Architects, the Marketing team and developers:

• Design new features and improve existing ones
• Create workflows, annotated wireframes, interactive models, prototypes and functional specs
• Advocate and shepherd usability and conduct usability studies
• Improve GUI infrastructure, methods and processes
• Align site UI with branding initiatives
• Design landing pages and other online marketing materials

Must be able to:

• Effectively aggregate and communicate ideas, design, and rationale both verbally and visually
• Understand business needs, weigh various approaches and tradeoffs
• Balance open-mindedness, flexibility and adaptability with ownership, confidence and persistence

Experience:

• Demonstrated experience delivering wireframes, flows, mockups and specs
• Demonstrated experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Portfolio showing clean, usable, effective, lightweight and compelling design
• Excellent communication and organization skills - function as a thought leader as well as an individual contributor
• Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript (and JQuery) and CSS
• Understanding of existing web technologies and how and when -- or not -- to use them.
