With over 200,000 tested and rated service providers from over 90 countries and thousands of buyers, oDesk is changing the way the world works (and growing real revenue at 3x every year). As a key member of the oDesk Marketing Team reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Business Development Manager will have the primary responsibility for nurturing strong partnerships in our new Groups program. http://www.odesk.com/groups


Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage existing partner relationships, including Sun, Intuit, Salesforce, Yahoo, and more
  • Sell our co-branded offering to Fortune 1000 companies and developer networks
  • Acquire and launch new partners
  • Ensure partner success and gain win-win outcomes
  • Analyze success of partner programs
  • Gather requirements from partners and work with product and engineering teams
  • Promote partner marketplaces through email and online marketing


Requirements

  • A passion for the business
  • A crazed obsession with exceeding all goals
  • 3+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience in a technical industry
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills
  • Exceptional writer and marketer
  • An history of exceptional performance and demonstrated ability to close deals.
  • Distinguished academic track record from a top academic institution and prior work experience at a well-respected consulting firm, agency, or leading online company preferred.

This position is a contract position with opportunity for full-time later.
