Based in our Menlo Park, CA headquarters your mission is to make oDesk an essential tool for companies around the world to manage distributed employees as if they were in the same office. To succeed you will need to understand the hiring, staffing and employment space as well as the architecture of systems that support this arena including workflow, approvals, hierarchies, regulatory issues, contractor management, terms of employment and emerging new employment conditions, applications and products. From day one you will focus on three key areas; improving ease of use, extending the use of web services for our platform and developing new products and features that our customers can't live without. In order to accomplish these goals a strong presence and credibility will be needed to frame your business cases and drive all aspects of development and release.
