oDesk is constantly evolving as a marketplace, community, and tool that changes how the world works. Today, we took steps toward creating a more streamlined site navigation system. The changes are subtle, visible only to users who are signed in, but we'd like to share some of the more noticeable differences:

  • New user Home
    • Your personalized Home page will now appear after you log in
    • Visit anytime by clicking "Home" or the oDesk logo from anywhere in the site (once you've logged in)
  • Streamlined username dropdown menu
    • New access to "Account & Profile Settings" and "Sign Out"
    • Some of the less-used (but still important!) pages have been removed from the menu. You can now access the following pages by visiting "Account & Profile Settings":
      • User Info
      • My Provider Profile
      • My Company Profile
      • My Teams
      • My Tests
      • Extending oDesk
  • Message Center Changes
    • The indicator shown next to "Messages" now reflect the total number of unread Inbox messages and Notifications.
    • "Account Alerts" and "Updates" have been removed from the menu - they are now integrated into the user Home.
    • "Notifications" is now the best place to find the latest communications about your account.

Stay tuned -- more changes are under way, all designed to make your oDesk experience better.

    we are facing lot of problems while signing out of odesk account . as a matter of fact most of the time it does not sign out and we have to dump the window. please review you application once again and sort out the issue. This issue is mainly faced at south asia region.

    Hi,

    People those are telling the current notification system is perfect to use are dont know How to use odesk menus . The updated system is not perfect at all because in the previous sysmtem there is different tabs and area for different type of notification .
    Like is Account Alert There is all type of the information about the job , Assignment start , Interview and invitation of an interview , and all necessary notification. and in Update there is all the updates about a job and a proper reason of end of candidacy.
    in this system we get the a proper reason of end of candidacy and this was the most important part of our profile because with this reason we can review our profile that send my the buyers. So we need this as it was and other account Alert this is also required as it was.

    I have talked with Odesk help Operators some times
    and they have told me that they will contact to engineering department but till today nothing is happened.

    I hope they will resume the old as it was and perfect to use.

    Please bring 'Sign Out' link back. I need to make on eadditional move everytime i need to sign out of odesk.com

    I believe this wont take too much of space.

    I think new format is look very cool. Although previous navigation like account alert is fantastic.
    We will miss account alert. But I like new format.

    I disagree with the negative comments. I think the new format is very user friendly and look forward to more changes, if they're all going to be this good!

    hi Odesk,

    Why you create mess like this for messages. Now I have to read all the stuff in notification while in the past everything was nicely separated so User can read only those message which he really wants like account alerts, messages, Updates and Notifications.

    Is there any way to set previous framework?.
