Update on oDesk International Payments

oDesk has launched International Payments to allow contractors around the world to easily and affordably receive their earnings on oDesk. Workers have found existing third party payment options to be expensive, unreliable, and requiring an extensive setup process through multiple providers. International Payments gives contractors a way to directly transfer their funds from oDesk into their local bank account, in their local currency, for a very low price.
Currently, our International Payments offerings include:
- Local Funds Transfer in Australia, Canada, India, Philippines, United Kingdom, and SEPA (Euro). SEPA includes the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
- Wire Transfer (Local Currency) in Armenia, Bulgaria, Colombia, Croatia, Egypt, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kenya, Morocco, Peru, Serbia, South Africa, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Uruguay. Added May 16: Beta program in Pakistan.
More countries are in development and those currently in beta will be released as standard offerings soon. We always looking to improve our payment offerings and appreciate your assistance and feedback during this process. We are working hard to bring low-cost, direct withdrawal options to as many contractors as possible.
