I have withdraw LFT from Odesk to My bank(unionbank) Nov 14, 2012(wednesday) and got a confirmation at night, and said they have processed My withdrawal and should expect a delivery date on Nov 19, 2012, and now its Nov 26, 2012 and not a single money came from to the bank.
I've stopped using LFT because many have suffered. I'm using Paypal to Eon (UnionBank). My Nov 14 and Nov. 21 (all Wednesdays) Paypal withdrawals hit my Eon on Thursdays late afternoon, less than 36 hours. The Paypal to Eon cost an additional P50 (if amount withdrawn is P7T or less) compared to LFT -- I can live with that than having an empty pocket on the weekends.
Nov. 30, 2012 (Friday) is another Philippine holiday. I'll again withdraw via Paypal. Those who will be using LFT, you will not have your funds on the weekend and will have to wait until Dec. 1 or 2 or even beyond.
I'm just being practical. I'd rather pay an additional P50 with Paypal than have a waiting empty pocket with LFT.
11/30/2012 : Bpi deducted 165php from my account for Service Charge i dont even know. What is a service worth 165 for Bpi ? i didn't even went to any atm to make transactions to be deducted 165php. does anyone here experience this?
So I guess Philippines holidays will greatly affect withdrawals as compare to US holidays

yep I used BPI Direct. I think BPI Direct is better than the regular BPI and BPI Family.
did some somebody withdraw their funds last Nov 28 and received it this evening? I haven't mine yet and I need money because typhoon Pablo will hit our place.
Jessabel, you were charge? BPI have waived their charges as arranged by oDesk. been using BPI for 3 months now, well my first transaction there was a deduction but was reversed after a few days. And as to delay, I have yet to experience over 5 days delay. on the average I have been receiving my funds in 3 days. If I withdraw wed, I get it friday eve or sat a.m.
Most likely the problem is between oDesk and its new partner bank. Receiving Banks are basically garbage in - garbage out. Meaning if they received mismatching account details, like right name wrong account number or vice versa, they float it, this can easily be check by getting in touch with your local bank customer service. Or as I see it, no transfer has been made. In this case either someone between oDesk and its bank partner made a merry mixup with contractors details and now finding it hard to correct the mixup. Or the new partner bank is fairly new in transacting fund transfer with Philippines banks and not familiar with the requirements of our different banks.
What I don't understand is, this have been happening for several months already. How come oDesk or its Partner bank or both still haven't fix the problem? Problems like this is fairly easy to find and solve. All transaction have "Paper Trail".
Those whom I Know who are using BPI Direct ATM who are not encountering problems are those who applied via online 4 or 5 months ago only. IF these is true in all cases, My mixup theory between oDesk and it partner bank would be the plausible answer, But I still believe the partner bank made the mixup.
BTW, am wondering which U.S Bank is the new bank partner. Hope its not the one who is currently being bailed out by the U.S government. hehehe

thats exactly what im thinking now too... ive tried withdrawing funds friday before and it hit my bank monday morning.. so, i dont really think its because of the holiday thingy, we have to wait till 8pm though, and if we dont still get our money, then i think theres really something going on!!! UGH..
So Odesk, what is it now that you gotta say? CS is saying the same thing every time. BPI says to contact you! What's happening?

same here, during Thanksgiving when I withdrew money using LFT, money got into my account early Saturday morning, but when it's a Philippine holiday, everything's messed up. I don't think the problem is with BPI though. I also still don't have my money that I withdrew on Nov. 28, supposed to be there yesterday or today.
I just hope odesk does something about this ASAP!!

Finally, the money's in, but what I wanted to know was what caused the delay? Sure, we get it every Sat morning, but what causes these delays? If there will be delays in the future i hope they let us know, so we can prepare because our bills will not wait for us
someone hacked my odesk account and withdrawn balance on saturday. I immediately contacted odesk and they suspended my account.
Can i get my money back?

I'm just wondering how's the withdrawals' going to be in the coming weeks. The holidays are all Monday and Tuesday, I hope it won't affect the withdrawals.
Withdrew wed dec 12 a.m, got my oDesk confirmation withdrawal processed wed evening. Sat 6 a.m funds are in my account 3 days though as per bank and oDesk it is 3 to 5 days from transferring bank to recipient bank. For the last 3 months since I started w/ oDesk and been withdrawing funds ( bout 7X) had no problem. Same feedback with some BPI users also. Common similar factors with contractors who has no problem are. 1. All of us uses BPI ATM direct applied online 2. As I gathered accounts use are bout 4 months old.
With this in mind, I would think that those who are having problems are old account users and the problem are either with oDesk's Bank Partner or between oDesk and its Bank partner. Not matching details?? .... and most probably with all recipient banks.
With the holidays, I would think transaction will stretch to 5 days
Payoneer payments will not be delayed during the holidays. This refers to payments sent to the Payoneer card. So once oDesk sends the payment to Payoneer, it will load within the standard loading time (2 business days or 2 hours, depending on which option you choose).

Does BPI charge remittance fee now? I was deducted P226.76 with no reason at all.. I wonder why.
What kind of BPI card do you have? As what I have heard. BPI Card(main) don't have charges but for those who have BPI branches (something like that). I'm not really sure the exact card but that's all I know.
I have BPI direct.I contacted odesk, apparently there has been an agreement between odesk's bank and banks in the Philippines about a fee. Odesk's bank will deduct a fee every end of the month in behalf of our banks(said they were processing fees or something like that) whatever it is, it was really not a good idea that odesk changed their bank. Since they did, we've encountered so many delays and problems and deductions. It's so upsetting and disappointing. >:(
