Update on issues with BPI, BPI Family Savings and BPI Express

To all Filipino contractors using BPI, BPI Family Savings, or BPI Express:
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been having difficulty sending funds to users with BPI using Local Funds Transfer (LFT). This was caused by a change in our banking partner at the end of September. We know how important it is for you to have easy access to your funds and are working hard to get the problems solved.
Here’s an update on the two major issues:
BPI fee waiver:
Refunds have been sent out to those who were charged a fee to receive funds at BPI. Due to bank holidays, you may see these refunds in your account this coming Monday or Tuesday. If you do not receive your refund by then, please contact Customer Support.
Funds not received:
Users banking with BPI Family Savings or BPI Express have experienced difficulty receiving funds. Currently, if you try to transfer funds to those banks they will be returned to your oDesk account, which can take over a week. If you haven't done so already, please file a ticket so the support team can track your withdrawal and return the funds to your oDesk account. For now, we recommend using PayPal or an alternative bank to withdraw your funds.
