lol funny logo

I like it Smile

My two pennies

The logo:

• Too much weight is given to the figure.

• You don't seem to have taken scalability into account as your design has poor definition at its present size.

• There's a disconnect between the blond haired, blue-eyed Aryan figure (a Greek god?) and the Asian team members.

The overview:

• Customers buy benefits. The overview doesn't really contain any.

• Your logo and name seem to suggest humour is part of your brand. But the overview is humourless.

• You need to state a distinct speciality. Or at least find a way to clarify why you're the best at completely different disciplines like logo design and web development.

HAHA! A well thought-out

HAHA! A well thought-out critique: with the lingo, the logo and the logic all given equal weight. But still bollocks; as any discussion about a logo inevitably is. I salute you for your superior layout though.

Care to elaborate?

Care to elaborate? Minus the foul language, of course.

Ah, yes.

It is for a lot of people. The Ego supersedes the Id to the detriment of the one, unfortunately. Wink

Hi Mahesh, I'm so impressed

Hi Mahesh, I'm so impressed and inspired by your skills and your work on ODesk. Can you just give me some details on how to pursue a graphic design career?

you either have it or don't.

you either have it or don't. True talent has to be born with.

Apart from the "Born with it"

Apart from the "Born with it" stuff (like superman), is there anything like education, qualification and work experience that counts to be a successful graphic designer. It's time that you give me a sincere detailed answer instead of your famous one-liners. Wink

Sharique,

You'd do better to try and squeeze blood out of a stone.

Designing, like most things, is a "craft" not an "art," and, as such, can be learned. It doesn't take genius or "natural" talent to create a logo or a written piece of work.

If you want to learn a craft, find someone who knows how to do it and get them to mentor you. Go to your nearest university and take some classes. Computer graphics design of some sort is taught in almost every university world-wide anymore. Go on google and see what kind of classes you can take online. Do your research.

And, of course, education, qualification, and work experience count in any kind of job, not just graphic design.

BMO

Education can help you get there quicker, though sometimes it can only provide the theoretical tools for you to build something for yourself. It's a gateway. Most of the nitty gritty (i.e. learning actual software) I learnt myself - the cooler stuff at least. Though there are courses and such that will specialise in just the nuts and bolts practical stuff. I know a few almost seemingly 'superhuman' designers and illustrators who are pretty much self taught (or a couple who had brief stints in 'art-school'), but it doesn't just magically start producing itself - takes serious hard-work and dedication; plus a healthy interest in the subject, art and just a general love bordering on obsession with aesthetics (and beneath) > can give you the edge.

But even then you're only just 'there' - after that you need to develop yourself, develop your style and try to bring something unique? Perhaps. Maybe not? Who knows. I'm still working it all out myself.

Yo

Like a Jedi, a great designer

Like a Jedi, a great designer is. You are or you are not. No in-between, there is- Yoda.

What passes for "talent" nowadays in pretty much every form of art can be learned AS LONG AS you have the passion for it.

Crikey, he said he wanted to

Crikey, he said he wanted to be a graphic designer not a Russian realist. I admire your carrots though Wink I saw this repin a few years back..

Good for you

I'm doing that more and more and moving away from oDesk. It makes me sick to my stomach to see the translation prices offered. And even sicker to see that people actually apply to them.

Thank goodness for other sites that are more professional. And thank goodness for Google Adwords and my homepage moving right along.

It's really sad that oDesk doesn't better it's quality. It could be so great!

Oh well...
