Odesk Red Flag

Hi! Can Odesk really put me on Red Flag for screenshots showing that I am accessing not work related sites like Facebook, Google, etc.?

Don't wait

Don't wait for the client or oDesk to call your attention to it. Just delete those screenshots. Unless you really meant to charge those personal time to your client?

even if the client gave you

even if the client gave you the permission to "do any job" during working hours as long as there's no activity waiting in my queue? if my client's fine with it, will i still get a red flag from ODesk?

Why on earth would a client

Why on earth would a client pay you for doing another person's work? Are you sure you are understanding your client properly? I, personally, don't pay supermarkets for things I don't put in my basket. Do you?

Seriously doubt that is what he meant.

Is this an hourly job? If so he probably meant that if there is no work during your scheduled hours, do whatever you want, just do not charge him. You really need to clarify with him that it is ok if you charge him to play games, surf facebook, shop online all while he pays for it. Does this sound logical to you? If he files a complaint you may end up suspended and unable to work at all. I suspect something may have been lost in translation here.

Facepalm

*facepalm* at this thread.

Kristine. Did you not wonder

Kristine.

Did you not wonder at all why a complete stranger would be willing to give you money for nothing? Did that not, at any point, strike you as a little unusual?

I expect

I expect we'll see that client in the forums soon, complaining loudly about being scammed by his contractors who log time even when they're on Facebook, playing games, or doing work for other contracts. Sigh.
