New Upfront Payment Policy

I haven't been on oDesk for quite awhile. I did submit a proposal on here a few days ago and asked for my standard one-third upfront payment. Tonight I submitted another proposal and oDesk now will not allow you to ask for more than $100 upfront payment that they have embedded into their application form. Could some contractors weigh in on this? I don't think it's fair for them to determine just what you can ask for; that should be between the contractor and the client.

That's not true.

I got an upfront that was more than that today. It may be a glitch. I would suggest contacting the help desk.

Upfront Payment Policy

Hi Ayesha, because I haven't been on oDesk in quite awhile and there have changes on the site, I misread the upfront box. I thought it was asking for a dollar amount. I went back and saw it was asking for a percentage. It was my confusion that created the problem. I updated the proposal with my standard upfront payment request. Thanks for responding on this forum.
