Odesk should make a policy that employees should not hire below the $10

Odesk should make a policy that there must be some limit on the paying rate for employees, and they should must hire above $10. As some people are sucking the blood of new comers. they pay very less rate and promise them for good feedback.
Some people are contractors and take projects on high price and becomes employees and again submit those projects on cheep prices.
Please consider this suggestion so that more serious persons should come on odesk.
Odesk should give a rankings based on feedbacks of contracts above then $100 amount. if anybody has taken 5 star feedbacks of some cents. that is not considerable i think.
Thanks

Minimum Hourly Wage Rates

Agree with Yaseen on minimum wage rates - some of these prospective employers are offensive on their wage offer given the tasks they expect you to do. If a minimum wage rate isn't feasible, how about a way to *filter* the prospective jobs so us skilled contractors don't waste our time?

For the 4 Millionth time

There are no employers here. There are no employees here. There are no WAGES, minimum or otherwise.

This site is a platform for independent contractors and their clients to meet and sell and buy services.

You set your own price. If the price you want and the one that is being offered for your service / skill / time do not match, then either your "product" isn't good enough for the price you want for it or you are not selling your service the right way.

If you don't like the money that is offered for any given task, simply move on.

It really isn't that difficult.

Anyone who talks about "minimum wage" on a freelancing platform needs to sit down and find out what "running your own business" means, and what the difference between clients and employers, or between contractors and employees, actually is.

This is a worldwide virtual marketplace. NOT a brick and mortar building in any specific place.
