Contractor delivering unfinished job

For the first job I posted (a very simple HTML/CSS website from Firework design file). The contractor delivered on time but incomplete (she didn't use the font from the design, and the banner which is a slider didn't look even remotely like the design). I asked her to fix urgently but didn't hear back from her on time, so I had an internal developer to fix what was wrong.

I don't know what to do with my contractor now, should I pay her the full price and give her a bad review ?
Should pay only part of the price ? If so should I negotiate that with her ?

Any advice would be welcome

It depends on how much time

It depends on how much time you gave her to respond and whether your message was sent during the week or over the weekend. I take an absolute maximum of 24 hours to respond to a client's message. I do revision requests over weekends but everyone has a life and perhaps your contractor went away? I think you need to weigh up whether or not she was slow to respond in accordance with the amount of time you gave her before handing the task over to your internal developer. Technically, contractors should wait for revision requests before disappearing but sometimes clients only request revisions weeks after the work is submitted and the contractor may stop waiting for a response.

Pay for the part that works

Pay for the percentage of the work she did that was correct. If 50% was correct give her 50% of the money and appropriate feedback.
Since you had to have someone else finish it I would not pay the entire amount at all.

Was it a fixed price project? If so, I don't see any reason not to pay half-price if you gave specific instructions and she did not complete the work based on your requirements, then did not attempt to fix it once you politely asked her to.

What are you even talking about, Darren?

There was this guy earlier

There was this guy earlier who spammed multiple threads with a "look at my site" message. The threads were mostly dead threads; hence the 'zombie' reference.

My reply was to flag the spammer. The spam comments have been deleted but -for once when it would actually been useful to be moderated- my reply has been left intact; thus looking like I'm insulting the last person in that thread. *sigh*

Oh lol.

I see. Thanks for clarifying, I was like how am I spamming and why on earth is it related to zombies...
