oDesk Names Stephane Kasriel Vice President of Product

Former PayPal head of Consumer Products to Lead Product Strategy and Execution

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — June 21, 2012 — oDesk, the world’s largest and fastest-growing online workplace, announced today that Stephane Kasriel has joined the company as the Vice President of Product. Mr. Kasriel comes to oDesk with the goal of accelerating innovation in online work technology, empowering both businesses and contractors to collaborate regardless of geographic limitations. He will lead the direction of oDesk’s technology platform, working to ensure that talented professionals anywhere can find satisfying employment, and that businesses can find, hire, manage and pay workers with the skills they need, helping them grow and prosper.

Mr. Kasriel brings to oDesk more than 12 years of high-tech product and general management experience, including leadership roles at pioneering companies including Fireclick, Zong, Work4Labs and PayPal. Defining and leading PayPal’s consumer strategy, Kasriel achieved unprecedented growth for the company. He also helped guide Zong in their ascent and rapid acquisition by PayPal, and most recently worked as the COO of the social media recruiting platform Work4Labs. Stephane holds a Master’s from Stanford in Computer Science and an MBA from INSEAD.
