We are seeking a dynamic developer with diverse experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will be adept at shifting focus between 2 business platforms, each built from its own custom-made content management system (CMS) and on a variety of programming languages, particularly Angular, PHP. Javascript/jQuery, and ColdFusion. While the position primarily works "behind the scenes," our ideal candidate will have great communication and relationship skills.

This is a freelancer role with up to 30 hours a week that is available primarily during the weekday business hours.


BUSINESS A Qualifications & Skills
We expect BUSINESS A responsibilities to comprise about 95% of daily tasks. The incumbent will be an Angular 1/Angular 2 developer who performs both back-end and API layer website development on BUSINESS A, which is an online content publishing network built from a custom-made CMS.

Tasks include:
Developing, testing and deploying new administrative features (back-end and API layer)
Developing, testing and deploying new website features (front-end)
Identifying and creating more efficient development workflows
Research and resolve issues that arise during operations
Integrating third-party APIs
Designing and developing advanced reporting tools
Provide support to Publishers and customers

Required experience:
Proficiency in Node, Angular 1, Angular 2
Advanced MongoDB queries
Git
HTML/CSS/Javascript development
OpenSearch

Preferred but not required experience:
Asana for task management
Proficiency with CSS media queries
PHP development experience
AWS, particularly CloudFront, S3 and EC2
Linode Cloud Platform
Designing and developing HTML specifically for email

BUSINESS B Qualifications & Skills  
We expect BUSINESS B responsibilities to comprise about 5% of daily tasks. The incumbent will be a ColdFusion developer who performs both front-end and back-end website development on BUSINESS B which is an e-commerce website built from a custom-made CMS.

Tasks include:
Developing, testing and deploying new website features (front-end)
Developing, testing and deploying new administrative features (back-end)
Identifying and creating more efficient development workflows
Troubleshooting and debugging existing code/HTML
Integrating third-party APIs
Designing and developing advanced reporting tools

Required experience:
Proficiency in ColdFusion and familiarity with its open source platforms (Lucee/Railo)
Experience with Git
HTML/CSS/Javascript development
Proficiency with CSS media queries
Advanced MySQL queries
