We are searching for a full stack, WordPress developer to finish updating a few websites from 1.0 to 2.0 and to provide TA when needed. In addition this role will serve a temporary backfill in August and September while an employee is on leave. Specific deliverables will be provided once the candidate is selected.

Current level of effort is estimated at average of 15 hours per week for about 6 months.

Required Skills
• Advanced skills in PHP and WordPress.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
• Advanced skills with MySQL.
• Understanding of how to optimize across multiple devices (e.g. mobile and desktop).
• Basic understanding of web accessibility.
• Excellent communication skills.

Required Experience
• Proficiency in backend WordPress development, including plugin and theme development.
• Experience in all aspects of web application development: architecture, separation of layers, configuration, performance, integration, and deployment.
• Experience creating and maintaining WordPress Multisite.

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• Experience building and maintaining websites that are hosted on WPEngine.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Salesforce.
