Curiosity 2 Create is a non-profit organization focused on helping educators infuse curriculum, classrooms, and schools with creative and critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. We are looking to raise awareness of our mission by hiring an experienced public relations professional to assist us in obtaining media coverage. This position will report to the Director of Marketing.
Public Relations Roles and Responsibilities:
Researches relevant and meaningful media coverage
Pitches and obtains media coverage that promotes Curiosity 2 Create, Creative Thinking Network and Curious Creator Club
Responds to requests for information from the media.
Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with consumer, community, and public interest groups.
Writes press releases and prepares information for the media to promote the mission.
Plans or directs the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stakeholder views of the organization’s agenda and accomplishments.
Analyzes the organization’s objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.
Maintains the organization’s image and identity across three different programs.
Drafts speeches and schedules interviews.
Prepares and edits organizational materials, including newsletters and other publications for external audiences.
Updates and maintains the organization’s digital content.
Collaborates with managers to identify trends and evaluate advertising to determine whether it is in sync with the organization’s public relations efforts.
Public Relations Qualifications / Skills:
Experience working in Public Relations field
Superior written and verbal communication skills

Social media savvy
Education and Experience Requirements:
BA in public relations, journalism, communications, English, marketing or related field
Experience promoting non-profits
