Position Overview:
We are seeking a forward-thinking CTE Hybrid Course Designer to join our educational team and focus on the Career Pathways of Construction Trades, Outdoor Industry & Tourism, or Healthcare. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of hybrid career connected learning by creating inquiry and student driven courses that integrate both in-person and online learning experiences tailored to these specific pathways. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the aforementioned Career Pathway and instructional design, combined with the ability to leverage technology to enhance learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pathway-Specific Course Development: Collaborate with Colorado Digital Learning Solutions to develop engaging introductory hybrid courses for 9th and 10th graders aligned with the Career Pathways of Construction Trades, Outdoor Industry & Tourism, or Healthcare. Craft learning objectives, activities, instructional materials, assessments, and interactive elements that meet industry standards and educational goals.
2. Hybrid Learning Design: Design courses that seamlessly blend in-person instruction with online components, catering to the unique needs of each Career Pathway. Utilize multimedia, interactive activities, discussion forums, virtual simulations, and industry-specific scenarios to foster active learning and student engagement.
3. Industry Relevance: Remain current with developments in the Construction Trades, Outdoor Industry & Tourism, or Healthcare sectors, depending on course. Infuse courses with the latest industry trends, practices, and case studies to ensure learners are well-prepared for real-world challenges. Create activities and assignments that foster transferable career related skills and reflect upon industry/student interactions.
4. Instructional Technology: Integrate educational technologies, including VR, to enrich the learning experience. Integrate relevant educational applications to enrich the learning experience. Collaborate with CDLS regarding their learning management systems (LMS), multimedia resources, and other digital tools.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education and/or curriculum design.
Teaching experience within Construction Trades, Outdoor Industry & Tourism, or Healthcare.
Familiarity with hybrid or blended learning models
Proficiency in utilizing learning management systems (LMS) and educational software.
Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, inquiry-based instructional design, and integrating technology into learning experiences
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail, organizational prowess, and effective time management abilities.
A collaborative spirit with the capacity to work within a virtual team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in one of the following industries: Construction Trades, Outdoor Industry & Tourism, and Healthcare.
Familiarity with hybrid or blended learning models tailored to CTE contexts and specific Career Pathways.
